Users

A screen for organization administrators. Here you create accounts for the people who will use the console.

The list shows: User, Role, Assignment, 2FA (On / Off), Status and the creation date.

Adding a user

The console sends no email invitations. You choose the password and pass it on to the new person.

1. Click Add user.
2. Identity: First name, Last name, Email, Password. The Generate button creates a random password.
3. Access:

   • Role: a set of permissions (see Roles and permissions);
   • Client, Location, Machine (optional): narrow what the user sees. An empty field means everything on that level, including what is added later.
4. Preferences: Timezone.
5. Click Add user.
6. Give the person the console address, the account name, the email and the password.

The assignment (client, location, machine) is set only when the user is created. To change it, delete the user and add them again.

You can only give a role whose permissions you have yourself (unless you have an administrator role).

Editing and a new password

1. Click the user in the list (or row menu → Edit).
2. Change the details, role or timezone.
3. To set a new password, type it into Password. An empty field keeps the current password.
4. Click Save changes.

Resetting two-step verification

When someone lost their phone or access to their authenticator app:

1. In that person's row menu choose Reset 2FA and confirm.
2. The person signs in with the password alone and sets up two-step verification again (if the organization requires it, the console asks them to right away).

This needs the Users → Edit permission. You do not reset your own verification here, but in your Profile.

Deleting

Row menu → Delete. The user loses access immediately. You cannot delete yourself.
